Senior Beauty

This is a gorgeous study in lighting of this beautiful young lady! A flattering loop pattern in being put on her face that accentuates her soft features while preserving color saturation. This image is a true treasure for her senior album!

Siblings

This image was also created using the Virtual Backgrounds system. These twin seniors took time from their busy schedules to pose for a few photographs for mom this weekend. I think the results speak for themselves...and, I'm certain this image will hold a prominent place in their home!

More Spring Images!

Here's another one of my favorite images from our weekend Easter session! This family brought a live, black, floppy-eared bunny and I suppose it was its nap time! Chester was very well behaved and slept a great deal of the time!

First Scene Machine Spring Images!

Technology is a wondrous thing and it proved itself yesterday in our fun Easter shoot with the virtual background system! This precious shot will undoubtedly be one of many parental favorites and is worthy of a wall portrait in any home! We combined indoor (shown here) and outdoor images for a great Spring balance of choices. Stay tuned for more...

Happy Saint Patrick's Day and The Scene Machine!

I'm posting no images today because I need to announce that my Scene Machine is fully operational and ready to go for my shoots this weekend!
Yes, it's finally a reality....1500 or so background slides ready for use, newly-purchased floors to compliment the backgrounds, new props for the Easter and Spring seasons as well as seasons throughout the year!

We've added this new dimension to all of our services: location shooting outdoors or indoors at the client's request or the use of our Scene Machine indoors (indoor or outdoor background slides and floors.)

Stay tuned in the next few days for images that I'll post illustrating this exciting new choice in our business! Friday, Saturday and Sunday are booked using the Scene Machine and other locals....so, see you then! Oh, and HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!!

A Piece of Mountaineer History!

Yes, Frank was thrilled to see his name on the wall of records! I just HAD to take a picture of the plaque...did I have a choice?

WVU Stadium in Winter

When I asked Bill Stewart if there was a place I could go to take a picture of the stadium, he showed me two vantage points. This one was the best but I was shocked to see the turf a solid white! At first glance, I thought that some kind of tarp had been put on the field but then I realized that the snow had not melted in Morgantown like it had in Ravenswood! I like the effect anyway and this image will hold a special place in my series "West Virginia University in Winter." If you check previous posts, you'll see the first two portraits in the series "Woodburn Hall in Winter" and "Woodburn Circle in Winter."

WVU Hall of Tradition

Well, here are two images of the Hall of Tradition housed in the Puskar Athletic Facility. It's really a museum of Mountaineer Football from the early days to the present. You can go up to almost any display and search through the archives to see video clips of plays dating back many years ago through today. Wonderful and interesting! A true fan's paradise! I have a few more to show you, so don't go away!

Conditioning Center!

Good morning! I thought you'd enjoy seeing the type of facility our Mountaineer Football team conditions in! It's certainly something to behold....a cadillac of weight rooms. And this is only one side of it! It's a massive facility and is flanked by study/tutoring rooms, a snack bar and a room looking out on the stadium for those special ticket-holders that have "ring-side" seats! Gorgeous! Check back for more...

Coach Bill Stewart and the Hall of Tradition

We also visited with Coach Bill Stewart who invited us to tour the Mountaineer Hall of Tradition in the Puskar Athletic Facility right in front of the football stadium. It was like a museum of WVU football history! And it was beautiful! Stay tuned for more pictures and fun!

Happy Reunion!

It's always great to see old friends and mentors and to rekindle wonderful friendships. That's just what we did this past weekend in Morgantown. Here's another image from our visit..Frank and Coach Bowden. Coach Bowden said in his speech that God can replace you "just like that!" In fact, he said, He did it this past January!! For those of you who follow college football, you'll understand the joke!

Signing Fest!

Yes, it was a regular signing festival for Coach Bowden. He signed everything from shirts to helmets to pictures to books! Here's Frank getting him to sign his football...one that all his former players signed as well! Frank gave one to Coach Stewart to have his team sign, also but that, as they say, is another story for another day!! Check previous posts for "the rest of the story" and stayed tuned for more from Morgantown!

Live Auction!

Here's Tony Caridi (the voice of the Mountaineers) auctioning off a photograph of Coach Bill Stewart and Coach Bowden right after the Gator Bowl. The image sold for a mere $1200 and was personally signed by both coaches later on in the evening! The picture on the right is of Coach Bowden and the WVU FCA director, Shawn Frasher, getting ready to auction off a helmet signed by all former Bowden players (Frank included). It sold for $2000! No, we weren't the buyers! Stay tuned for more fun!

Bowden Speech

Coach Bobby Bowden, formerly of the Florida State Seminoles, spoke at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes fund raising dinner in Morgantown (see previous post). It was a great evening for all as Bowden is the most entertaining speaker I've ever heard! Please stay tuned for great images of the weekend and some interesting information!

Morgantown Weekend!

Well, I call it a weekend but it was Thursday and Friday of this past week that Frank and I traveled to Morgantown for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes dinner honoring Coach Bobby Bowden! FCA invited all of Bobby's former WVU football players to join the fun and excitement at the beautiful Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown for dinner Thursday evening and breakfast Friday morning. This is an image I snapped of the room just before the event began on Thursday. Gorgeous! Please check later on today as I'll be posting some great images of our trip, including some great conversations with Coach Bowden and Coach Bill Stewart, along with a tour (conducted by Coach Stewart just for Frank and me) of the Puskar football facility and Hall of Tradition! I'm certain some of you have been there, but for those of you that haven't, buckle your seatbelts and enjoy the show!
