Signing Fest!

Yes, it was a regular signing festival for Coach Bowden. He signed everything from shirts to helmets to pictures to books! Here's Frank getting him to sign his football...one that all his former players signed as well! Frank gave one to Coach Stewart to have his team sign, also but that, as they say, is another story for another day!! Check previous posts for "the rest of the story" and stayed tuned for more from Morgantown!

Live Auction!

Here's Tony Caridi (the voice of the Mountaineers) auctioning off a photograph of Coach Bill Stewart and Coach Bowden right after the Gator Bowl. The image sold for a mere $1200 and was personally signed by both coaches later on in the evening! The picture on the right is of Coach Bowden and the WVU FCA director, Shawn Frasher, getting ready to auction off a helmet signed by all former Bowden players (Frank included). It sold for $2000! No, we weren't the buyers! Stay tuned for more fun!

Bowden Speech

Coach Bobby Bowden, formerly of the Florida State Seminoles, spoke at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes fund raising dinner in Morgantown (see previous post). It was a great evening for all as Bowden is the most entertaining speaker I've ever heard! Please stay tuned for great images of the weekend and some interesting information!

Morgantown Weekend!

Well, I call it a weekend but it was Thursday and Friday of this past week that Frank and I traveled to Morgantown for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes dinner honoring Coach Bobby Bowden! FCA invited all of Bobby's former WVU football players to join the fun and excitement at the beautiful Waterfront Place Hotel in Morgantown for dinner Thursday evening and breakfast Friday morning. This is an image I snapped of the room just before the event began on Thursday. Gorgeous! Please check later on today as I'll be posting some great images of our trip, including some great conversations with Coach Bowden and Coach Bill Stewart, along with a tour (conducted by Coach Stewart just for Frank and me) of the Puskar football facility and Hall of Tradition! I'm certain some of you have been there, but for those of you that haven't, buckle your seatbelts and enjoy the show!

Arch of Light

This is the final image from our wedding this weekend. I love how the background flash lit up not only the couple and the bride's veil, but the inside of the arch as well!

Quiet Reflection

This is another image from our weekend wedding. I love the drama of the light on the couple's faces and gentleness of how the groom supports his bride. This image was taken just before the couple made their entrance into the reception. Truly, a favorite image of mine!

Wedding Wonderland!

This is one of my favorite images (among many others) from the wedding we shot this weekend. Just as we were leaving the reception, the snow began falling and I told the bride to grab her snow cape and we headed outside in the courtyard to take advantage of the winter beauty! My flash lit up each flake of falling snow and gave this image a "winter wonderland" feel! Stay tuned for more from this couple's gorgeous wedding!

Pretty In Teal!

Here are the last two images of the evening!

Evening At Tiffany's

Here are three more pictures of the decorations for the Special Olympic Dinner/Dance. Notice the crystals suspended from the ceiling over the dance floor!

Table Host Queen!

This young lady was crown Table Host of the Year at the Special Olympics Dinner! Well, actually, her uncle was the Table Host of the Year but we decided that she should receive the honors! The crowning was followed by a great dance DJed by Donald Sheppard of Shep's Entertainment. You missed a really fabulous evening!! Maybe next year?

Simply Elegant!!

This is the room right before the Special Olympics Benefit dinner/dance was open to the guests. Isn't it gorgeous? When the lights were dimmed and all the table candles were lit, it was amazing!! The colors and decorations were all designed by Sherry Davis of Simply Elegant Rentals. In fact, she donated the use of all the decorations, chair ties, flower arrangements, napkins, charger plates and crystal enhancements to Special Olympics. That's right...she didn't make a cent!! Her phone #, you ask? 304-273-3040. And tell her Ann sent you!!

Snow Dog II!

This is Minx, the wonder dog! No, really, she's an English Pointer and the sweetest dog this side of the ocean! She, too, loves the snow and I had to catch her "on the fly" because she's difficult to coral in one place!

Snow Dog!

I thought I'd share this image with you. It's of my German Shorthaired Pointer, Bo, during the recent snow storm. He wasn't very happy with me for requiring him to pose because all he wanted to do was run in the snow! Anyway, I like the results. And, by the way, we LOVE doing pet portraits! This Spring, we plan on running a "My Best Friend" portrait special during which we'll take portraits of any pet, alone or with it's owner. It'll be a lot of fun and something you or someone you know will want to take advantage of! And, you won't have to bring your pet to us...we'll come to you, if you wish! But, for now, happy snowboarding, or snow skiing or snowman building or whatever snow sport you choose to participate in! Me, I'll just keep playing in the snow with Bo and Minx (my English Pointer)!

Patriotic Team!

A few days ago, we had the honor of traveling to Wirt County High School and photographing their basketball team. What a great group of coaches and players! And great artwork on the walls! We took advantage of it here to create a patriotic portrait of the team. Go tigers!
