Woodburn Circle

This is the second of the two Woodburn Circle portraits for auction at the Special Olympics dinner/dance. I photographed the famous landmark last winter when walking through the downtown campus. I remember how very cold it was but I'm glad to have gotten the shot! As I said in the last post, the dinner/dance is Saturday, February 13th at McCoy's Conference Center. It's only $25 per plate and will be a great evening! Come and join us and, who knows, you may be the winner of this lovely portrait!

Woodburn Hall

This portrait of Woodburn Hall at West Virginia University will be one of two Woodburn Circle Portraits for auction at the Special Olympics annual dinner/dance on Saturday, February 13th at McCoy's Conference Center. It's a beautiful full color rendition of the famous structure on the downtown campus that's become known as the architectural symbol of WVU! The photographer? Your's truly!

In the Blink of An Eye!

I've also watched this young lady grow up and it's staggering how time flies! It seems like yesterday that I saw her walking into her Kindergarten class! Scroll down for more dance articles!

All Grown Up!

This is a young lady I've watched grow from a baby to a beauty! I can tell you, I took this image with tears in my eyes! It's a wonder I was able to focus while looking in the view finder! Please scroll down to the first dance article for background.

Beautiful Young Ladies!

This is yet another image from the dance this weekend! Aren't they gorgeous? See the article below for more information!

Winter Dance

This is one of four images I'm posting today from the Ravenswood Middle School Winter Dance! I'm posting them for two reasons. One reason is to show how gorgeous all the students were, dressed for a night of having fun with friends. Another reason is to announce the newest addition to Ann's Location Photography: The Virtual Backgrounds Scene Machine! This wonderous machine projects any background of my (or my customer's) choosing...right through props and the subject being photographed! At the dance, we used the "City Lights" slide and it was a hit! Our photography business is now able to offer this fabulous variety of backgrounds to our clients! I have over 1000 backgrounds to choose from! The Scene Machine will be available to our clients this Spring!! Come and see our newest product and all the variety and possibilities it offers!

I Hope You Dance

This is another wonderful image from our weekend senior session! Kudos go out to Jeff, Trudy and Brandon Humphreys who ran the lighting for the stage shots. They did a fantastic job for me, as you can see! Brandon has his own lighting equipment to compliment his DJ business and he runs a great show!
And, speaking of seniors, let us design your senior announcements for you. The time for the old-style announcements is over! Personalized ones are beautiful and eye-catching, complete with pictures that you've selected. Call to see samples!

After the Performance

This is one of my most favorite images from our weekend shoot. The ballerina is just taking off her pointe shoes after the performance. The image provides us with the unique perspective of a dancer...totally reversed from most images taken of performers from the audiences point of view! I love the colors, the dramatic lighting and the classic pose....all come together for a beautiful portrait!

Goodbye to 2009!

When I think of saying goodbye to 2009, I think of this image! A fond look for the past, but real promise for the future! It even applies to this beautiful young senior as she gets ready to say goodbye to her formative years and says hello to preparing for her adult life. Here's to a fabulous 2010 for all my readers and future readers! Happy New Year!
